Judge is right

Unless your state has rules against no-fault evictions (Diablo iii Gold), they can give you the required notice and if you don't leave, they can evict you. As for the receipts, those might have had to be attached to your answer as evidence.

Were you on a month to month or a lease?

I am wondering if the LL served you a second notice between now and the last one and you just never got it? A copy of it should have been attached to your latest summons and complaint.

he didn't serve a 2nd notice at all. when the judge asked about that he told the judge he started this process almost a year ago. even though when i paid rent late last august with the late fee, he said i could stay and has been cashing my rent checks every single month. seems to me like the process ended at that time and that he can't just pick it back up again almost a year later.

i don't know. my summons stated to bring with me all proof and anything i could use as a defense at my hearing. so i did but the judge ignored my defense. i hadn't attached them to my response.
